2023 Annual Report
2023 marked the 35th year of the Atwater Area Help for Seniors program, and our mission remains the same as it was in 1988: to support elders and their caregivers in Atwater and the surrounding townships, so seniors may stay in their home and in their community as long as safely possible.
2023 marked the 35th year of the Atwater Area Help for Seniors program, and our mission remains the same as it was in 1988: to support elders and their caregivers in Atwater and the surrounding townships, so seniors may stay in their home and in their community as long as safely possible.
In 2023, 309 people were served by 117 volunteers. Volunteers provided 6,008 hours of service, including 1,109 in-person & phone visits and 135 chore services; and drove 12,743 miles to transport seniors, provide services, and make deliveries, including 2,764 hot noon meals. Additionally, congregate dining resumed mid-year and 299 meals were served to 35 people from June to December.
